Meet the Acrobats of the Sky:
Meet Jerry "Jive" Kerby, the retired Air Force pilot who flies the little RV-8A that dreams of being a fighter jet, Wild Blue!
Don't let the small plane fool you – Jive has commanded the skies in over 75 types of aircraft, including iconic fighters like the F-15C Eagle and F-4 Phantom, amassing over 15,000 hours of total flight time! So, while "Wild Blue" might not have a jet engine, it's got a genuine fighter pilot at the controls! When Jive isn't flying "Wild Blue," he's busy managing Draken International as the only founder remaining with the company, leading as president of Racing Jets Inc, or working with his wife (and our announcer), Lunar Sawyer on their private airport in Florida, flyJiveFly Airport.
Meet Kyle Fowler, the airshow pilot who traded wrenches for wings!
This former journeyman mechanic now wows crowds across North America in his Long EZ – a plane that seemingly missed the memo about aerobatics being off-limits! With his wife and kids often joining as ground crew (just like his own childhood supporting his dad, Ken), flying is a family affair. Kyle's natural charisma, honed by announcing for his dad at age 12, shines through as he pushes his Long EZ to 200 knots in a thrilling routine complete with awesome smoke and energetic music. Whether circling jumpers or parked on the show line answering questions about his unique ride, Kyle's passion for sharing his love of flight is clear. Safety is always his top priority as this surface-level performer puts on a truly unforgettable show!
Meet Renny Price, a retired airline captain who traded the big jets for the thrill of extreme aerobatics!
With over 23,000 hours logged since '69, this pilot holds just about every rating imaginable, from ATP to Aerobatic Competency Evaluator. When he's not wowing airshow crowds, he's still flying high in his Astra private jet. But the real star of the show? His Russian-built Sukhoi-29! Considered the ultimate two-place unlimited aerobatic machine, Renny and his SU-29 (powered by a beastly 360-horsepower radial engine!) call Oregon home. Get ready to witness graceful classics mixed with mind-blowing loops with snaps, torque rolls, tumbles, and even a few flat spins – this is world-class aerobatics that'll leave you breathless! And when Renny's not tearing up the sky, you might find him hunting, fishing, strumming a guitar, or talking all things flying!
